Anti-Spam Policy

    Last updated August 7, 2026

    Zero tolerance for spam

Order Dash gives restaurants powerful messaging tools — order notifications, promotions and customer reactivation campaigns. Those tools may only be used to contact people who have a real relationship with the restaurant and who have not opted out. Unsolicited bulk messaging is prohibited.

    Permitted messages

    • Transactional — order received, accepted, ready, out for delivery, refunded, and receipts.
    • Marketing to existing customers — offers and reactivation campaigns sent to people who ordered from that restaurant or explicitly signed up, where local law allows.
    • Opted-in subscribers — people who gave clear, informed consent to receive marketing from that restaurant.

    Prohibited

    • Purchased, rented, scraped or third-party mailing and phone lists.
    • Messaging customers of another restaurant or business you do not own the relationship with.
    • Misleading sender names, subject lines, or false claims about offers.
    • Removing, hiding or breaking the unsubscribe mechanism.
    • Continuing to message anyone who unsubscribed, replied STOP, or bounced or complained.
    • Sending outside legally permitted hours for SMS in the recipient's jurisdiction.

    Every marketing message must include

    • A clear identification of the restaurant sending it.
    • A valid physical postal address for email.
    • A working one-click unsubscribe link, or STOP handling for SMS.

    Opt-outs

Unsubscribes and STOP replies are processed automatically and immediately across the platform. Suppressed contacts are excluded from all future marketing sends, including AI-generated reactivation campaigns, and cannot be re-added by importing a list. Suppression does not stop transactional order messages for orders the customer places.

    Your legal responsibility

Restaurants are the sender and are responsible for complying with applicable law, including CAN-SPAM, TCPA, CASL, GDPR and ePrivacy, and any state messaging rules. If you export customer data or sync it to your own CRM, these obligations follow the data.

    Enforcement

We monitor complaint, bounce and unsubscribe rates. Sustained high complaint rates or a credible spam report may result in throttled sending, suspension of messaging features, or account termination. Serious or repeated violations are terminated without refund.

    Report spam

To report a message you believe violates this policy, email abuse@orderdash.app with the message content and the address or number it was sent to. We investigate every report.
