Our commitment
Ordering food should work for everyone. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across the diner ordering experience, restaurant dashboard and restaurant websites built on Order Dash.
What we do
- Semantic HTML with clear landmarks, headings and page titles on every route.
- Full keyboard operability, including menus, dialogs and the cart, with visible focus indicators.
- Accessible names on icon-only buttons and descriptive alternative text for meaningful images.
- Color contrast that meets AA, with status and errors conveyed by text and icons rather than color alone.
- Form fields with associated labels and clear, specific error messages.
- Tap targets sized for touch, and layouts that reflow on small screens and at increased zoom.
- Respect for reduced-motion preferences.
Known limitations
Some content is supplied by restaurants — menu photos, descriptions, uploaded media and website copy. We prompt for alternative text and readable content, but we cannot guarantee every restaurant-authored item meets the standard. Third-party embeds such as payment, mapping and delivery tracking are governed by those providers.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is reviewed as part of our design and release process, using automated checks alongside keyboard and screen reader testing. Issues reported to us are triaged with blocking barriers prioritized first.
Report a barrier
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, email accessibility@orderdash.app with the page address, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you use. We aim to respond within five business days and will offer an alternative way to complete your order in the meantime.
